Now that you have a better picture of the two drinks, let us evaluate each of the attributes in detail:

Difference in the Source of Macadamia Milk Versus Cow Milk?

Macadamia milk is produced from macadamia nuts which can be used in either raw or roasted form. The raw soaked nuts are crushed and then blended with water. This liquid is then filtered and the pulp is strained away. The creamish- white filtrate obtained is what we call macadamia milk.

Cow milk, as is obvious, is obtained from the mammary glands of cows. It is one of the most nutritious beverages which has been used for centuries.

What Is the Taste and Texture of Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk?

Macadamia milk has a butter-like and nutty flavour with a smooth texture. The consistency may be thick or thin depending on the quantity of water added.

Cow Milk has a slightly sweet and creamy flavour. The consistency of this pale yellow liquid is neither too thick nor too thin.

How Much of Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk Should Be Consumed?

Macadamia milk is rich in many essential nutrients including vitamins and minerals like iron,  iron, vitamin B6, potassium, and manganese. Therefore, when it comes to the daily intake, one cup of Macadamia milk is enough for a day.

Milk is considered to be a complete food because it has a diverse nutrient profile. It is rich in carbohydrates,  protein, fats, vitamins and minerals that are essential for good health. Therefore, you can consume up to 2 cups of cow milk a day. Young kids especially need more nutrition and calcium to grow, therefore children can consume up to 3 cups a day

Comparing the Calorie Score of Macadamia Milk & Cow Milk

One of the main reasons why many people are switching over to plant ilks is because of the lower calorie count they offer. As is evident from the table above, Macadamia milk has a much lower calorie content when compared to cow milk.

Cow milk is a calorie-dense drink. It is best suited for people with an active lifestyle and young children. Therefore, if you are planning to switch to a low-calorie diet, macadamia milk would be a much better option.

Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk- The Overall Fat Profile

Macadamia milk is rich in fats when compared to many other plant milks.  However, the healthy unsaturated fats of macadamia are very beneficial in heart health and building the immune system.

Despite being rich in fats, macadamia milk still has a lower fat level when compared to cow milk. Cow milk is rich in fats, so for someone on a weight loss journey, macadamia milk or low fat cow milk would be a better option.

How Much Proteins Do Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk Have?

One of the main drawbacks of plant-based milk is that they are low in protein content and milk made from macadamia is no exception.

Cow milk is a rich source of protein which makes it a much better drink if a high-protein diet is your preference.

How Does Macadamia Milk Weigh Against Cow Milk in Calcium Content?

We all know that calcium is an essential nutrient needed by the body to strengthen bones and muscles. While homemade forms of macadamia milk trail behind dairy in terms of calcium content, commercial products are fortified with nutrients including calcium, which makes them a good source of calcium.

Cow milk on the other hand is one of the best sources of calcium.  This is why it is considered to be one of the best foods for growing children who need calcium in their formative years.

What Is the Apt Time for Consumption of Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk?

When it comes to macadamia milk intake, being a nutritionist I would suggest you consume it either in the morning for better digestion or before bedtime to promote sleep. Similarly, cow milk can be consumed in the morning or at night.

Macadamia milk can be added to coffee, milkshakes and smoothies. It can also be used in baking and making pancakes, muffins and cookies. Likewise, cow milk can be drunk straight up or added to cereals.

What Is Better for the Planet- Macadamia Milk or Cow Milk?

It has been established that plant-based milks are better for the environment when compared to dairy milk. The production of macadamia nuts involves less water usage, more absorption of carbon dioxide and less damage to the soil.

The dairy industry is associated not only with ethical issues regarding the treatment of animals but also with low sustainability. The raising of cattle for milk leads to the use of extensive farmland, more carbon emissions and soil damage. This makes cow milk a bad choice for our planet

Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk: The Vegan-Friendly Option?

Macadamia milk is a spectacular nut produced plant-based milk. Because of its source of origin, it can be considered a vegan-friendly product. It is also suitable for people with dairy, gluten or lactose allergies.

Cow milk is derived from cows, therefore, it isn’t a suitable option for vegans.

Macadamia Milk or Cow Milk- Which Is Better for Dental Health?

Macadamia milk is naturally low in calcium which is an essential mineral for oral health. However, it is rich in nutrients such as vitamin E, vitamin B1, magnesium, and manganese that help support overall dental health.

Cow milk is universally recognised as one of the best drinks for making your teeth stronger and protecting tooth enamel because of the presence of calcium. Apart from calcium, Cow milk also contains phosphorus, lactose and other nutrients that are good for your mouth.

Macadamia Milk or Cow Milk- Which Is More Easily Digested?

Macadamia milk is rich in fibre which makes it an easy drink to digest. The milk also helps in the growth of good bacteria in the gut making it a pretty tummy-friendly drink. m

Cow’s milk contains several nutrients that aid in maintaining digestive health. However, some people with lactose intolerance or milk allergies may find it hard to digest cow milk. So, overall macadamia milk is lighter on the stomach than cow milk.

Macadamia Milk or Cow Milk- Which Is Best for Bodily Cooling?

Macadamia milk is made using large amounts of water. Thus it can be used to quench thirst and can help to keep the body temperature down. It goes very well with cold beverages like iced coffees, milkshakes and smoothies.

Cow’s milk also does a good job at cooling down the body because of its adequate water content.

Cashew Milk or Macadamia Milk- Which One Hydrates the Body More?

Macadamia milk apart from containing large quantities of water also contains potassium. Potassium is one of the main electrolytes that helps the body in retaining water levels and prevent dehydration.

Cow’s milk is also considered a hydrating drink. Reason is the presence of potassium and sodium. These minerals help to keep the body hydrated.

Macadamia Milk Vs Cow Milk: The More Versatile Beverage?

Macadamia milk is a great beverage for straight-up drinking. To add a subtle sweetness along with nourishment, I would suggest adding the maple syrup, honey or dates. You can also add cocoa powder or vanilla for preparing milkshakes.

Cow milk can be made even more nutritious and delicious by adding chopped nuts including almonds,  raisins, cashews, and walnuts with some honey or dates. Jaggery and turmeric are also one of my favourite additions to cow milk.

From the above discussion, we can summarize that both macadamia milk and cow milk have their own set of advantages. What you pick totally depends on your requirements. For calorie and eco-conscious people, macadamia milk is a better option but if you are looking for complete nutrition, pick cow milk.
